PREP NOW FOR NORTH KOREA ATTACKS: 30 Day Emergency Food Supply for 4 from Sam’s and WalMart

From time to time I am asked to publish a list of groceries folks should consider putting in an emergency food pantry. Your grandparents and their parents stored and canned food for times when food wasn’t available or affordable. We’re entering extraordinarily dangerous times.

The coming war with North Korea is likely to see not only missile attacks upon our land, but also biological weapons attacks which will cause Smallpox outbreaks and require mass-Quarantines for months at a time.  You MUST have food to survive such eventualities.  Here is an INEXPENSIVE list for a family of four.

In the event of a planned or natural disaster society is only 9 meals away from anarchy. Grocery stores only have a 3 day supply of food on their shelves. If commerce (just in time inventory) is interrupted for any reason you and your family will live or die based on what you have stored in your food pantry.I would also recommend this list of food for anyone unemployed, without support, or anyone trying to exist on $25 a week for groceries. This is about $3.50 a day per person.

EMERGENCY MESSAGE: Americans proven to be over-confident and underprepared lack
these crucial items – and may not have a chance to buy them later…25 Things That You Should Do To Get Prepared

For the health conscious use brown rice and healthier dried soup mixes like those sold by North Bay Trading. However, if you wait until the last minute that won’t be an option. Remember, brown rice doesn’t last as long as white rice (a year I believe maximum) so it should be cycled through the diet regularly to keep it fresh. Or, put off buying most of your brown rice to the last minute. When the SHTF and you’ve waited until the last minute, you should buy everything dried, freeze dried, and dehydrated you can find at local stores.

Here are some ideas I worked on about 7 years ago to show how you could buy regular food from Sam’s and Walmart for emergency storage. Most of this food can be circulated through your regular diet to keep items fresh. Just replace them from time to time when used. This will feed 1 person 2,000 calories a day for 120 days ($100 a month), or 4 people 2,000 calories a day for 1 month ($400 a month).

There are a couple modifications to this picture like one extra 25 pound bag of rice, two extra boxes of chocolate breakfast drink, an extra bottle of olive oil, 1 extra 10 pack Non Fat Dry Milk.

I would also recommend a good whole food multi-vitamin, 2,000 mg Omega 3, 1,000 mg ea. Omega 6 and 9, as well as 150 to 300 mcg or more kelp (iodine) and 5,000 IU vitamin D3 a day, minimum.

is the stuff from Sam’s Club on the left side of the table.

3 – 25# bags of white long grain rice 9.76 = $29.28

5 – 10# bags pinto beans – $5.39 = $26.95

2 – 10# bags sugar – $4.26 = $ 8.52

4 – boxes Idahoan Instant Potatoes – $5.48 = $21.92

5 – Carnation Breakfast Essentials $7.28 = $36.40

2 – boxes Quaker Instant Oatmeal $9.48 = $18.96

2 – Olive Oil $5.98 = $11.96
(dark glass bottle only, no plastic or clear bottles)

1 pack pepper shakers $8.18 = $ 8.18

1 pack salt shakers $2.88 = $ 2.88

1 large package bowls (120) = $ 8.68

120 pk Heavy Duty Coated Paper Plates = $14.58

1 Heavy Duty Plastic Cutlery =   9.48

products on the right side of the table came from Walmart.

I’m using the Asian method of making rice more palatable by using the Bear Creek soup mix as a gravy to pour over the rice (and or beans) changing the flavor regularly to guard against food fatigue. The Bear Creek dehydrated soup mixes are already in foil bags. Plan on 30 bags, that’s 1 bag of soup a day for 4 people or 1 bag to last 4 days for one person. Each bag makes a 1/2 gallon of soup. A pinch of Xanthan gum (thickener), extra water, and anything else like fresh or dried vegetables added to the mix could double each bag to a gallon of soup. You can dip just the amount of soup you want to make and do a different type every day, or store in fridge after made if possible.

I’ve added 1 extra Great Value Dry Milk (10 pack) to what you see in the photo..

30 bags Bear Creek dehydrated soup mix $3.42 = $102.60

3 boxes Great Value Non-Fat Dry Milk $8.97 = $ 26.91

2 – bricks Maxwell House Coffee $3.48 = $ 6.98 (you may use 4 or 5 times this much)

25 packs Lemonade Mix..0.10 = $ 2.50

2 boxes Great Value Family Size Tea Bags..$2.88 = $ 5.76 (you may want more)

3 bottle Mrs Dash Low Sodium Herbs = $ 6.62

2 bottles Bouillon Cubes (1 chicken, 1 beef)…$2.00 = $ 4.00

Clorox Twin Pack disposable wipes = $ 3.97

1 large package Hefty Cups = $ 3.00

1 bottle scent free clorox (to purify water) = $ 1.22

1 roll 30 gal black garbage bags.22 = $ 3.68

Sub Total. – $365.03

Tax – $ 25.55

Total – $390.58

Prices shown were from December 2010. I checked prices again in 2012 and the total was still very close (like within $15) without any shopping around for deals.

This diet should help stabilize high blood pressure caused by excessive sodium if BP medications are not available. The only sodium in the diet will be in the soup and oatmeal which is under 2,000 mg a day, much less than what most people consume regularly. If blood pressure is an issue use the Herbox No Sodium bouillon packets instead of regular cubes.

This package of food eliminates all the water of canned food. Everything here is dried, powdered, or dehydrated. That’s very important if you have to move this food. Especially if it needs to be loaded in a vehicle. You will not be able to move this much food easily if it was all canned.

If you decide to put this off until the last minute you need to burn these images into your mind and send people in multiple directions to gather these staples and soups before the masses figure out what’s going on. In fact you should cut and paste this post to a Word document and print it when needed. The S_ _ _ is about to Hit The Fan. You need to be prepared.

If you’re planning on fleeing the city to a friend or relative’s home in the country you may be much more welcome if you show up with this package of food.

ELECTRICITY SOLUTIONS

Generators

MOTORIZED GENERATORS CAN NEVER BE USED INDOORS; NOT EVEN FOR FIVE MINUTES.  THE CARBON MONOXIDE FROM THE MOTOR WILL KILL YOU.

Motorized generators can only be used OUTSIDE your home.

Generators are rated in “watts.”   They usually provide two different numbers: “Start-up” (very short duration) and “Running” which is the real number.

When it comes to FUEL CONSUMPTION, manufacturers get a little shifty.  They tell you that you’ll get “x” numbers of hours on a full tank, but there’s an Asterisk *** and when you scroll down to the fine print, they tell you that “fuel efficiency is based on 50% load.”   So if the generator is rated at 2,000 watts, the fuel rating is based upon only running half that (50% of load) or 1,000 watts!

Here’s how to determine what size generator you need:

Take paper and pen and go to every electric device in your house and read the “watts” on the product label.   Write each item down and its wattage.

When you’re done withe everything in the house that you NEED in an emergency (refrigerator, lights, phone) add-up the watts then look at generators which offer  (at 50% load) to provide that total wattage.

For instance, perhaps you have a refrigerator that uses 1200 watts (when running) and five rooms with one CFL light in each of 5 rooms @ 9 watts each, plus a TV at 300 watts.  You add the 1200 + a total of 45 watts for the lights, + 300 watts for the TV which comes to 1545 Watts.   You should then go buy a Generator with a MAX capacity of 3,000 watts or higher to meet these basic needs, because half that rating (the “RUnning” watts) is what you’ll be using for regular “Running” watts.

From AMAZON, here are some generators from which to choose.  If none of these meet your needs (or budget) click the “Go” Button at the bottom of the Generator box and you’ll get a whole SLEW of other choices!

Do not be one of the people that freezes and is overcome by fear—you need to move smartly if you want to survive. How to make a Generator at home.Video below.

Solar

Solar is expensive.  But the payoff is that you don’t need fuel.  As with the Generators above, find a system that will meet your wattage demands.

From AMAZON, here are some basic emergency solar generation systems from which to choose.  If none of these meets your needs (or budget) click the “Go” Button at the bottom of the solar box for more choices!

Inverters

Inverters run off car batteries.  They convert the 12 volts DC into 120 volts AC.   This system does not last long at all and if you kill the battery, you’ll have to get a jump start for your car to recharge it.  Click the “Go” Button at the bottom for more choices.

FOOD,  WATER, CASH!

WATER STORAGE

The overwhelming majority of people in the USA derive their water from Municipal, County or Corporate Water Company Utilities.   Only in rural America do most families have their own well-water.

For those of us who rely on a Water company utility, we need to ask ourselves: What do we do if the water company gets poisoned?  Computer-hacked?  Blown-up?

What do we do for water?????

It is imperative that you have fresh water stored up for an emergency.

Whether you wash-out and fill up used plastic one-gallon milk containers, or used two liter soda bottles, STORE WATER NOW ! ! !

Every human requires ½ gallon of water per day to live.   If a human goes THREE DAYS without water, they die.

Much of the water we ingest is actually contained in our food.  But in an attack situation, food may not be readily available.  YOU MUST STORE-UP ENOUGH WATER TO GET YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THROUGH AT LEAST A MONTH.

Do the math:  ½ gallon per day x 30 days x number of persons in your home.

From AMAZON, here are some convenient water storage methods for ANY HOME, OFFICE OR APARTMENT:

Water Filters

If you cannot store water, then you’re going to need to get some from rivers, streams, ponds or even rain.  That means you have to FILTER and DISINFECT the water before consuming it.

PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE

Some of you take certain medicines in order to live.  Things like Thyroxin to replace a removed Thyroid.  Make certain you have enough supply on-hand to keep you alive for at least a month!

CASH

If we are attacked, it may not be possible to use Credit/Debit Cards or Automatic Teller Machines.  HAVE CASH MONEY;   Not to pay bills . . . to survive!

If the shit hit the fan and systems go down around the country, NOBODY is going to be able to accept your credit or debit card.  ATM’s may not work – or will run out of cash if they do.   Where will that leave YOU?

Have cash hidden away in the house or somewhere safe.  NOT A BANK SAFE DEPOSIT BOX because they may not open without electric or computers.  HAVE CASH IN YOUR POSSESSION.

WRAP-UP

These are the most rudimentary basics.  In another article later, we will talk about COMMUNICATIONS for when phones, FAX, Internet and Cellular are “down.”

So what would that look like? Are you ready for that? Learn how planning ahead can help you protect your family, your home and your belongings in a dangerous timeVideo Below

As long as there is America on Earth, mankind has no comfortable days.
You do not have to worry about North Korea’s biological and chemical weapons.

Now, cholera is spreading in Yemen, and I do not see it as natural.
Of course, there is no information.
How Much Blood Does America Need?
The Earth is not the only America.
    No more slaughter of humanity.

Like your government, North Korea does not act.
If North Korea attacks the United States, it will attack only the White House, the Department of Defense, and some 600 US troops around the world.

I hope the United States will mutually respect all nations and make the planet a peaceful planet.

I tried to translate it into Google Translator, but it seems wrong.
I am saying that cholera spreading in Yemen may not be natural.
    I doubt the US.
And North Korea does not act like the United States.
