NORTH Korea is planning to wipe out large parts of US heartland and already has satellites in position for attack, an expert has shockingly claimed.

The US has moved nuclear bombers and their war fleet, the USS Carl Vinson, to the Korean peninsula ahead of any potential conflict and to increase pressure on the north.

This was after their leader, Kim Jong-un, threatened to fire a nuclear missile at US heartland.

But a power grid expert claims North Korean missile activity could be to plan for a devastating EMP attack.

Task Force on National and Homeland Security executive director Peter Vincent Pry said: “I think what they are mainly going for is the unhardened electric grid.

“Transportation, communications, all of the other civilian critical infrastructure that we depend upon to keep our population alive.”

North Korea has already fired two satellites into orbit and if a nuclear payload has been attached to these, then they have the capability to launch an attack.

If an EMP was successful, it could plunge the US into a doomsday apocalypse scenario.

Mr Pry added: “They are positioning themselves as sort of a nuclear missile age, cyber-age version of the battleship diplomacy.

“Which is basically what he said. He has made threats about turning the United States into ashes and he connected the satellite program to this in public statements to deter us from attacking.”

A former advisor for Ronald Reagan claimed North Korea could launch a devastating joint EMP attack with Iran.

And former CIA chief James Woolsey named EMP attacks as the most dangerous threat to the US from the North.

The United States should be prepared to launch preemptive strikes on Pyongyang, including the use of nuclear weapons if necessary.
That’s what former CIA chief James Woolsey said in an op-ed piece in the Hill newspaper, accusing the U.S. media of underestimating the threats posed by the regime.
Woolsey, who was director of the CIA during the Clinton administration,… warned that if the North uses a warhead-triggered electromagnetic pulse,… it could kill 90 percent of Americans.
Woolsey and co-author Peter Pry, who is with the Congressional Electromagnetic Pulse Commission,… also listed the possible ways North Korea could attack the U.S.,… speculating Pyongyang could use a bomb-laden freighter or even conduct a suicide mission.

Responding to the assertions,… South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff on Thursday repeated its assertion about North Korea’s capability to conduct a nuclear test… and added something new. “North Korea is capable of conducting a nuclear test upon an order from its leader. Seoul and Washington are monitoring and evaluating the situation. There is also a possibility the regime could conduct a new type of nuclear test.”

Adding to the heightened nuclear threat,… North Korea-monitoring website 38 North… said up to 100 people have been spotted at the North’s nuclear test site. “And in equally worrying news,… many experts believe North Korea could conduct its sixth nuclear test around the birthday of the late founder Kim Il-sung on April 15th.

Former Ambassador Henry Cooper – who was President Ronald Reagan’s chief representative in the “Star Wars” initiative negotiations with the Soviet Union and SDI director under President George H.W. Bush – said North Korea is preparing its Sohae satellite complex for a launch on a southern trajectory, which is said to be a test.

Cooper told G2 Bulletin the United States lacks sufficient anti-ballistic missile defenses in the southern part of the U.S., especially if the satellite turns out to be a nuclear device that could orbit above the U.S. and explode at a high altitude, affecting the lives of all Americans.He said it would be difficult to distinguish a test from an actual attack, and the best way to counter such a threat to the U.S. homeland is to knock out the missile at the time it begins its trajectory over a southern polar route. But he acknowledged such an action would be politically unpalatable.

However, if the North Korean satellite turned out to be a nuclear device and is detonated over 100 miles above the U.S, it could destroy all life-sustaining critical infrastructures that rely on the national grid, potentially leading to the death of most Americans within the following year.

All grid-dependent systems could suffer, including food- and water-supply chains, fuel-supply systems, communications, banking and finance.

“This is a bigger threat than the classic nuclear war we talk about,” Pry explained during a recent visit to Toronto. “It will kill a lot more people. One bomb will basically end your civilization.

“We’re not just talking about destroying electronics — at the end of the day we’re talking about killing millions of people. But it’s the old fashioned way — through starvation and disease and societal collapse.” …

“When it comes to issues of national and homeland security, this is why we have government,” says Pry. “Even the strictest constitutionalist should be able to support a bill that is basically for the purpose of providing for the national and homeland security of the American people so that a failed state like North Korea can’t kill 90% of our population with one bomb.”

The challenge is the issue doesn’t appear to be a priority in Canada. Representatives from CSIS, the RCMP and Public Safety Canada all confirm that attacks to what’s called “critical infrastructure” are concerns of theirs, but it appears no recent reports specifically mention EMP. It’s unclear to what degree government experts are studying the issue.

How prepared Canada and the USA actually are for this remains an open question, but the risk is great.

An EMP attack could well be one of the ‘troubles’ that could affect the USA, Canada, and/or various others during the ‘beginning of sorrows’ that Jesus spoke of (Mark 13:8).

North Korean politicians have often been playing a dangerous game with their country and their people, and hopefully they will realize that an EMP attack is not in their interests.

While North Korea is not prophesied to take over the USA (Europe is per Daniel 11:39, etc.), as I wrote in the past, it certainly is possible that it may decided to actually launch one or more missiles at the USA in the future (or take other “terroristic actions; cf. Leviticus 26:26).

North Korea, sadly, is certainly capable of terrorism. It has threatened the USA and its White House in the past.

If North Korea does take certain steps to sufficiently aggravate the USA into a full military conflict, it needs to realize that it likely will no longer exist as it is. At some point in time, however, I believe that both Koreas will be reunited based upon certain verses in Revelation, yet whether this will be because of a war involving the USA or something else, that is not clear.

Of course, if North Korea did so, it would not do well once the USA retaliated. So, North Korea is not likely to publicly and direct nuke the USA. But with its despotic leader, almost anything is possible.

The Koreans are Asians and occupy the “land of the sunrise” (Revelation 16:2) and I believe that they are part of the kings of the east that the Book of Revelation discusses having a role in the end time (Revelation 9:16). For years I have written that I expect that they will reunify. The unification of North and South Korea is consistent with biblical prophecy. But North Korea may take unusual actions before then, and it may regret doing so.

And while some may find it hard to believe, North Korea is truly believed to have the ability to knock out a lot of the USA’s power supply with its electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapon capability. Even Voice of America (a news source operated by the US government) publicly warned about it in the past.

Disasters, especially if there is an ElectroMagnetic Pulse (EMP) attack or a severe solar flare storm, could be part of a so-called“perfect storm” of events that could set the USA for destruction.

Many sorrows that the U.S.A. will face, like severe weather problems, diseases and earthquakes, will happen irrespective of who is in the White House (Amos 4:7-10; Luke 21:11).

The USA, despite its military strength, is vulnerable to being hurt by EMP weapons as well as nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, dirty bombs, terrorism, and biological weapons. Everyone knows that EMPs can basically work as advertised, this may give the North Koreans more reason to look further into using them if they feel pressed.

This may not bode well for the USA or Canada. Perhaps I should add that Iran and the Europeans also have this capacity.  The USA and Canada may well be hit by EMP weaponry, and there are many places that have the potential to hit them that way.

The real question that you have to ask yourself is: would you be prepared?

The second most important question is: are you prepared right now to survive such a catastrophe?
